A rigorous, hands-on machine learning course — from the fundamentals through to building, evaluating and deploying real models, with an entrepreneurial edge.

Schedule: July–September · Online · Saturdays 10:00–12:00 SAST
Who can register: Post-matric — whether you're currently in training at a college or university, or not in any form of training.
Commitments: Full attendance at live sessions, weekly assignments and quizzes, timely lab exercises, and mandatory monthly exams.
Support: Study-portal resources, a dedicated YouTube channel, and course slides.
Assessment & certification: Weekly quizzes and monthly exams lead to an official AI Nexus RTC certificate, with coursework submitted for NQF-level accreditation.
Plus: AI webinars on global trends, open to students.

Less AI theory. More AI reality.

Most education teaches young people to use technology; this course teaches them to build with it. Four practical weeks on what employers and funders actually screen for: making things, proving them, thinking like an entrepreneur, and showing up consistently. For school leavers, students and early-career young people across Africa — curiosity is the only prerequisite.

Four consecutive weeks · one live 90-minute online session per week, with practical exercises between sessions. Shaped week by week around what participants ask for.

Week 1Build, don't just consume
Create with AI tools and solve a real local problem — water, power, farming, transport. A working prototype beats a perfect CV.
Week 2Proof beats paper
Explaining what you built matters as much as building it. Pair certificates with a portfolio, and network genuinely.
Week 3The entrepreneurial mindset
Money skills early; start from the problem you're solving; master the fundamentals before chasing trends.
Week 4Built to last
Consistency beats intensity. Build a public reputation, and upskill for life.
